Electric Heating Emergency Shower & Eyewash
Common emergency showers and eyewashes will become useless if installed in cold regions where the weather temperature is too low, because in that case water in the pipe will freeze and stop the unit from working properly. When employees exposed to caustic chemicals or hazardous materials desperately need emergency flushing but water doesn’t come out, they will suffer longer and more severe injuries. Therefore, we advise you to have electric heating emergency showers & eyewashes in cold area locations to ensure that the water supply is not be affected by freezingly cold weather.
Electric heating emergency shower & eyewash is engineered for application in freezing, harsh environment, especially for winter outdoor use. It has built-in insulation layer to prevent water from freezing and the heating function is automatically activated when the water temperature in the pipe is below the set value. Suitable for places where temperature dropping down to 0 C, it can heats the water to around 15°C, ensuring smooth water flow any time you use it. The internal structure was made by integral welding, avoiding leakage.
General features of electric heating- Main body material: Standard SS304 stainless steel. By pickling passivation treatment, SS304 stainless steel exhibits stronger corrosion resistance to acid, alkali, salt, oil after acid washing. Built through silica sol casting than sand casting, it shows higher density, strength and longer durability.
- Product features: The eyewash pipe is made by PLC-controlled welding machine and automatic ring forming and welding technology, displaying high strength and good weld penetration.
- Heat trace cable is wrapped with thermally conductive aluminum foil to the outside wall of the pipe, thus enabling the heat is evenly transmitted to the surface of all pipes. We also use 30 mm thickness A grade flame retardant rubber-plastic insulation material to maintain the heat of conductive foil and minimize heat loss.
- Self-regulating heat tracing cable. The highest temperature of the surface of heat trace cable is limited within 65°C and eyewash pipe within 38°C, so that the water won’t burn user’s eyes.
- The temperature of eyewash pipe is also controlled by thermal resistance temperature controller. The factory-set temperature is 35°C. When the temperature of eyewash pipe is higher than 35°C, heat trace cable will automatically cut off power and stop heating.
- Schneider leakage protection system: when leakage or short circuit occurs, the system cut off power automatically.
- The explosion proof distribution boxes are equipped with power indicator and working indicator to enable real time monitoring of the unit condition.
- The shell is made of quality non-toxic ASA modified plastic, demonstrating good durability and excellent weather resistance. It can withstand temperature as low as minus 45℃, and still displays good performance and durability when used in extremely cold environment. And it has good corrosion resistance to chemical substances such as strong acid, alkali, salt, and oil, suitable for outdoor and harsh environment.
- eyewash head: eyewash spray nozzle has multiple filters to purify water and produce a forthy column of water, thus avoiding irritancy to the injured eyes or body. The filter can be removed for easy cleaning and maintenance.
- An 80 mesh SS304 stainless steel filter is installed in water inlet to purify water, thus avoiding causing irritancy to user's eyes.
